Release Notes

This release contains the second major revision of the automation process, a user-mode task bar tray application that allows you to select a source directory (typically the 'Recorded TV' folder) and delegates newly created WTV files to the built-in 'WtvConverter.exe' utility that ship with Windows 7.

Recommended INSTALL Method => http://www.indesolutions.com/WtvWatcher

New to this release is, rather than a command line window, a tray application (a red 'TV' icon). Process information such as success, information, warning, and error messages appear in chronological order from bottom to top.

Currently the only 'setting' is which directory to search for WTV files, which can be managed by clicking the tool/wrench icon in the upper-left corner of the application.

Saves you a bit of time perhaps, but considering its just a front end for windows' own converter and it still is buggy as. Meaningless error messages (Code 2, Code 5) and probably contains spy/malware. What's with the installer and further download? Is so pretentious for something that's 200k. Get DVRMSToolbox it shits all over this.

works for me! I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium (Dell) and it works great.. fully automated. After installation and after I directed the program to the location of my recorded TV. It started the conversion and deleted the *.wtv file on its own. Couldn't be more simple. As a side note I'm using 64bit version of the operating system

Doesn't work for me either. But it might be because I have Windows 7 Pro in *French*, and maybe because my WTV files are on an external USB drive (Z:) ? I don't know. But WTVConverter works fine alone...

Works perfectly! Hoping for a few new features in later releases, but this program works as advertised and I can now process DVR-MS files with all the tools just like I used to.
